Tax Assistant

Location: Greater London House, London

Salary: £36,923 - £45,586 per annum

National - £33,592 - £41,990 per annum

Hours: 36 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

We're looking for a Tax Assistant, part qualified or with equivalent experience, to join our team.

You'll prepare and submit tax returns (corporation tax, VAT and CIS) for the Clarion Group under the supervision of the group Compliance Tax Manager.

Undertaking reconciliations of relevant tax ledger accounts and ensuring that tax process documentation is kept up to date, you'll be proficient in operating IT systems with a strong working knowledge of MS products, in particular Excel, and similar desktop applications.

There'll be opportunities to get involved in advisory projects along with being asked to consider ways to further improve existing compliance processes and update the compliance process documentation as required.

Using your excellent time management and organisation skills you'll have the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision. You'll draft VAT returns and tax notifications, prepare CIS returns and corporation tax computations in time for statutory filings.

Previous compliance experience, excel capabilities and a willingness to learn new systems is essential along with good interpersonal and communication skills.

This is a hybrid role with a base location at our offices in Camden, London. Candidates will be expected to work from the office as and when required.
