This is a *Manchester* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *Ensuring accuracy of tax-related financial statements and reports*.

About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join their global finance team in Manchester. You'll be responsible for managing tax accounting and compliance activities, overseeing VAT/GST filings, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role also includes leading a small team and working closely with senior finance stakeholders and external tax advisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily tax accounting operations and compliance.

• Review and approve VAT/GST filings across regions.

• Ensure accuracy of tax-related financial statements and reports.

• Lead and develop a small finance team.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors.

• Support audits, SOx, and statutory compliance.

• Identify and implement process improvements.

About You

• Bachelor's degree and/or ACA/ACCA qualified.

• 5-8 years' experience in tax accounting or finance, ideally in a multinational or Big 4 environment.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and indirect tax processes.

• Skilled in stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication.

• Proficient in SAP or similar financial systems.

• Fluent in English.
