LOCATION: UK Flexible - Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Upto £78,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Our Talent Acquisition (TA) team plays an integral part in helping the business find the right people for the right jobs and keeping the BBC performing at it's best. We are now looking for a Lead PMO to join the team. If you know talent acquisition, have a very strong project management background, and can work effectively with and across the whole TA team to drive strategic and operational excellence, then we'd love to hear from you.


WHY JOIN THE TEAM
As Lead PMO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting the delivery of our TA strategy. The successful candidate will work across multiple TA programmes to manage the ongoing governance of change and continuous improvement in the team. They will partner with the Senior Recruitment Business Partners and be responsible for bringing together multiple project workstreams, tracking progress to KPIs, extracting data, and providing insightful reports that inform decision-making.


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Accountable for delivering a complex programme of work aligned to achieving our strategic Talent Acquisition objectives across the BBC.
  • Act as a trusted partner for the divisional Senior Recruitment Business Partners to enable pan BBC collaboration and support wider business objectives.
  • Accountable for applying the most appropriate project delivery and reporting methodology as needed to deliver a successful outcome at scale, in high profile and complex environments involving multiple teams.
  • Establishing a standardised approach and best practice to change identification, project delivery, tracking and reporting, including appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Coordinating, managing, and prioritising a number of complex demands.
  • Working in partnership with the business areas to support local change activity, including introducing tools, frameworks, and education to embed change in BAU activity.
  • Coordinating and maintaining cross portfolio capacity planning and resource forecasting
  • Identifying and escalating change risks, conflicts, and synergies, driving improved efficiencies and risk reduction.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of a range of project management tools and techniques, with an ability to lead, role model, and coach within and outside your function.
  • Successfully delivered multi change programmes.
  • Considerable experience in partnering with Talent Acquisition, Technology, HR colleagues, Reward and Senior Stakeholders
  • Experience fostering a learning culture and creating an environment where continuous improvement of teams' working practices can happen, including measuring success, inspecting, and adapting.
  • Experience in programme managing projects at scale using agile techniques and optimising the delivery flow across multiple teams. Managing dependencies, risks and issues across teams and departments
  • Able to build consensus across different teams and to mediate between teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Experience implementing or optimising recruitment technologies (e.g., ATS, CRM, scheduling tools, analytics platforms).
