System Engineer (Start ASAP)

System Engineer role at Enphase Energy in Christchurch, focusing on system design, integration, and testing for next-gen energy solutions.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting Design Verification Tests (DVT) to ensure full coverage of system designs.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks for both software and hardware systems DVT.
• Developing automation scripts using Python to control lab instruments such as Grid simulator, Power Analyser, Oscilloscope, SAS, Programmable loads, and other Enphase products.
• Troubleshooting system failures encountered during DVT and analyzing root causes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and design effective test strategies for integrated systems.
• Managing databases for test results and performing test data analysis manually or using Python-based scripts.
• Documenting test plans and test reports.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, or software systems; "makers" are welcome.
• Good understanding of basic software concepts, including code management, release management, and versioning.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Desire and passion to change the world.
