We are delighted to announce a fantastic opportunity within the Families First Partnership Programme for a System Development Lead.

About the Role

Are you ready to use technology to transform outcomes for children and families?
Sandwell Children's Trust is seeking an experienced Systems Development Lead to drive innovation across our Families First programme and wider social care reforms. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the design, development, and maintenance of our Liquidlogic case management systems, ensuring they are robust, secure, and fit for purpose.

You'll shape how we capture and evidence services, enabling effective partnership working and high-quality delivery whilst driving forward our transformation agenda. Working collaboratively with partners, you'll help embed a new model of support aligned with national priorities-making a real difference for children, young people, and families across Sandwell.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain Liquidlogic systems in line with statutory guidance, DfE specifications, and local priorities.
  • Improve processes to enhance workflows, data quality, and multi-agency collaboration.
  • Ensure systems support accurate data collection, analysis, reporting, and compliance with GDPR and safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet user needs.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and integrity, driving continuous improvements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to staff and partners.
  • Lead change management and adoption of new processes.
About You

We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable System Lead who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families through effective, efficient, and innovative working practices.
You will bring:

  • Extensive experience and expertise in a relevant field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Liquidlogic EHM and LCS systems (or similar case management systems).
  • A proven ability to engage stakeholders and foster collaboration.
  • Proven experience in managing change, partnership working, and project management ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • A strong record of innovation and creative problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, partnership-building, and analytical skills.
