Swimming Assistant

Salary: Hourly rate from £9.00 per hour (depending on age 16+)

Location: Bradfield College Sports Complex & St Andrews Prep School, Reading, Berkshire.

Shifts Available: Saturday Mornings, Sunday Mornings & Sunday Afternoon

Responsibilities

Assist in the delivery of the Children's Swimming Lesson Programme under the guidance of the Swimming Teacher, supporting early level learners. Provide personal supervision, demonstrate swimming techniques, and maintain a safe environment. Manage time keeping and organise shift arrivals. Follow all safety and procedural guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Good swimming ability, confident in the water and capable of demonstrating techniques.
• Empathy and effective communication with young children.
• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• Strong time keeping and organisational skills.
• Willingness to undergo child protection screening (background checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service).
