We are looking for an Sushi Chef to join our Culinary Team at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich!

Season: From April to end of September 2026.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department, the Sushi Chef is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences for our guests. The Sushi Chef reports to the Head Banquet Chef.

THE ROLE

As Sushi Chef, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure that our offerings are stylish, thoughtful, surprising and delivered with attention to detail.

  • Cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish.

  • Taking responsibility for the management of your kitchen station, ensuring efficient and seamless workflow while strictly adhering to quality and hygiene standards.

  • Ensuring flawless preparation, quality, and appealing presentation of our dishes in accordance with MOHG standards.

  • Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.

  • Ensuring that food waste is kept to a minimum.

  • Providing creative support in the development of new food concepts.

  • Coordinating with your supervisor for inventory requisition and overseeing daily goods receipt.

  • Being responsible for the daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness according to HACCP guidelines.
