Surfacing Installation Team Leader - Sub-Contractor

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the installation of the surfacing (playgrounds, parks, play areas, and other outdoor sites) across the UK.
• Lead and work alongside a small team, supporting, training, and developing them to increase surfacing preparation, mixing, and installation knowledge.
• Mark out and lay a mix of safety surfacing including wetpour, resin bound, shock pad, artificial grass, and grass mats (full training provided if no experience laying artificial grass).
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification and quality standards.
• Collect materials from the depot, take receipt on site, unload and store them.
• Be responsible for the company van, tools, plant, and equipment allocated to you.
• Ensure safe transit of materials/vehicles on site.
• Maintain daily site housekeeping, record keeping, keep the workplace tidy, and clear waste from the site.
• Take receipt of materials on site and/or collect from depot ahead of installation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing resin bound or wetpour surfacing solutions.
• Ability to lead a team.
• Good knowledge of different surfacing materials and correct installation processes (full initial training will be provided).
• CSCS Card.
• Reliable, hardworking, punctual, and good communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Groundworks experience to prepare ground ahead of installation (or experience checking base preparation and sizes). Useful, though not required for all projects.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away as needed.
