Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be working a prestigious Charity that deals with a premium sheltered accommodation for older people, who are recruiting a Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join an Amazing company.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 Hour week and flexible start and finish time)

Office is based in South Belfast.

Key Responsibilities

As the Manager, you'll lead a committed team to deliver exceptional supported accommodation for older people. Your leadership and experience will ensure our residents feel valued, safe, and empowered-helping them live life to the fullest in a welcoming, homelike environment.

Core Focus Areas
  • Residents: Provide compassionate, person-centred care that honours each individual's unique needs, interests, and life experiences.
  • Occupancy: Support residents and their families with empathy and transparency through every stage- from welcoming new residents to assisting those transitioning to higher levels of care.
  • Marketing: Promote our community as a trusted, caring, and supportive place to live.
  • Finances: Sustain our success by maintaining healthy occupancy levels and managing budgets effectively.
  • People: Lead and motivate your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Governance: Ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance are consistently upheld.
  • Welcome and support new residents and their families, ensuring a smooth and positive move-in experience.
  • Plan and deliver engaging social activities and events that bring connection, joy, and purpose to daily life.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff through effective coaching, training, and support.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and maintain our reputation for excellence.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and regulations are followed to protect and enhance the wellbeing of residents and staff.
Who We're Looking For
  • A minimum of Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification.
  • At least 3 years' experience working with older people, ideally in a supported living or care home setting.
  • Proven experience managing teams and budgets.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
