We offer intensive levels of support and care to help the young people we care for develop social and life skills.You will have an opportunity to learn whilst you work with Active Care Group. After probation you will be working towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential child care.What you'll be working:£27609.72 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)Days and NightsEvery other weekendRota shiftsWorking towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential child careWhat you'll be doing:Build relationships with children and young peopleEstablish methods of communication with children and young people, reducing barriers when necessaryAssist children and young people with mealtimes where necessarySupport with activities of daily living and personal care when neededCommunicate any issues to the on shift team leader or managementAccurately report and/or record work activitiesWorking towards a Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare or Children's Workforce (or equivalent) - or be willing to work towards this.What you'll have:A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible for our young peopleShould have lived in the UK for 2 years and 9 monthsThe ability to communicate effectively at all levelsMinimum experience of 9 months in the child careExperience working within the Child care sector / Autism/ LDWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
