Support Worker - Barnsley

Position: Support Worker - Barnsley
Salary: £12.22 per hour to £13.72 per hour
Typical shifts: Mixed days, afternoons and nights

Job Overview

We're looking for genuinely caring, hands on Support Workers who are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for the people we support. In this role you will help people gain more independence in their daily lives while working within a dynamic team supporting a fantastic group of people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and daily living activities
  • Teach new life skills to promote independence
  • Encourage and support access to local communities and social activities
  • Organise and participate in a variety of activities (e.g., pubs and bars outings, video games, film nights, cinema trips)
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and practice reflective working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including those with distress behaviours, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma
Qualifications & Experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Resilient, flexible and composed approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support (behavioural distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories, trauma)
