Children's Residential Worker - CSE

Location: Bridgnorth, Shropshire

Salary: £26,395.20 to £27,684.80 + £3,000 sleep-in bonus (annual average)

What You'll Do

As a Children's support worker you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.

Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.

Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.

Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.

Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.

Our house is set in the idyllic countryside of Shropshire, surrounded by farms and nature. Our home is a large historic building with a beautiful garden. Inside we have lots of rooms allocated to different activities so there is ample space for the young people to utilise.

Tell us about the young people you are with and how they make you feel.

All of our young people are amazing and carry different qualities, this is what makes our house such a wonderful place to work. Seeing the young people grow and being part of their journey is such a rewarding feeling that will stay with you forever. Although it is hard to say goodbye when the young people move on, this gives opportunity to help and support more young people.

How does your team come together to support the young people and each other?

Our home consists of a diverse team of kind, caring and compassionate staff. Team work is really important and everyone support each other to ensure each working day is successful for the staff and the young people. Building relationships with the young people is our priority and investing in them as individuals really helps their progression and development.
