Turning Point Scotland - South Ayrshire

Turning Point Scotland provides services to people with addictions, learning disabilities, mental health issues, those in the criminal justice system and those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Our services in South Ayrshire support adults with learning disabilities, on the autistic spectrum and with mental health needs. Since 2004, we have delivered community based or at home support to help people become active members of their community, develop skills, maintain friendships, explore employment opportunities and achieve agreed outcomes.

Role: Support Practitioner

As a Support Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals with a wide range of needs, encouraging them to achieve personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives, e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver person centred support on a 1:1 basis or as part of a team, working within the individual's own home or in the community.
  • Incorporate family, friends, health professionals and other services into the support plan.
  • Assist with personal care, cooking and housekeeping tasks where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • No previous working experience required; full training will be provided.
  • IT skills are required for all vacancies.
  • Successful candidates must register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom; we are not able to sponsor visas.
