Location / Salary

Arbroath - Full time. Salary: Earn up to £26,526.23 per year pro rata.

At Ark, all Support Practitioners are paid at least the Real Living Wage, currently £13.45 per hour (£25,947.47 pro rata).

After successfully completing your probation period, your hourly rate increases to £13.75 (£26,526.23 pro rata).

Full time & Part time Contracts available!

Arbroath currently has two teams working across Arbroath, Brechin, Friockheim and Carnoustie. We support adults who have a learning disability, Autism and neurodiverse needs to live a good life and enjoy the support Ark brings. The support includes working with individuals within their own home and supporting those who stay with their families. Support may include personal care, medication support, developing skills to live independently, social support in the community and attending college where individuals can further their knowledge. We help supported people work towards outcomes such as holidays abroad and closer to home, concerts, shows, football games - ensuring they live the best life and experience life to its fullest. We encourage supported people to be involved in living their life the way they want, build relationships and participate in activities important to them and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
  • Communicating and working well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
  • Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Ark's Information Management system.
