Support Engineer - CONTRACT
12-month initial contract
Eastbourne
£150 - £180 p/d

IT Solutions Provider require a 2nd/3rd Line Engineer for a public sector end client. You will provide a comprehensive, efficient, high-quality 2nd & 3rd line technical support service for all aspects of the clients network and related technologies. You will play a key role in supporting and executing infrastructure projects, including the planning, implementation, and post-migration support of complex domain migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless integration. You will provide specialist technical knowledge on aspects of the clients infrastructure, providing advice and guidance to members of the core Infrastructure team, other technical colleagues, service users, and other stakeholders as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the technical execution of domain migrations, including Active Directory and related services, ensuring proper integration with existing systems and applications.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing domain migration activities with minimal impact on business continuity.
  • Validate user access, group policies, and security settings post-migration to ensure functionality and security.
  • Ensure thorough testing of migrated domains, promptly resolving any issues identified during testing phases.
  • Support in managing and troubleshooting technical issues that may occur during and after the migration process.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of migration processes, configurations, and changes to facilitate ongoing support and compliance.
  • Provide a high-quality, efficient third-line technical support service for all aspects of the clients core network, server infrastructure, and related technologies, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
