Supply Cover Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work across a group of secondary schools within a supportive academy trust in Wakefield and Doncaster. This role starts ASAP and offers flexible, ad hoc supply work, allowing you to choose the days you are available each week. You will cover lessons in a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning while maintaining a positive classroom environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering a future in teaching or seeking flexible school-based work.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task.
• Deliver pre-prepared work to pupils across a variety of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines.
• Support the trust's values by promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Pre requisites

• Relevant qualifications or experience working with young people.
• Proven experience of supporting learning or managing groups of students.
• Strong knowledge of classroom expectations and behaviour management strategies.
• Two education or school based references.
• A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
