Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Developing and issuing daily and weekly production plans aligned to demand and capacity.
- Monitoring and adjusting production schedules in response to machine breakdowns, labour constraints, material shortages, or changes in customer demand.
- Balancing site capacity utilisation, changeover duration, and order priorities to optimise efficiency, and minimise downtime and waste.
- Liaising with site Production/Manufacturing Managers remotely to confirm feasibility of planned schedules.
- Reviewing forecasts and sales orders to ensure accurate production requirements are planned.
- Maintaining optimal stock levels of finished goods to effectively manage available space and minimise shortages.
- Monitoring slow moving and excess inventory and work with stakeholders to reduce obsolescence.
- Ensuring production aligns to agreed loading schedules and transport capacity.
- Raising and managing material orders to ensure availability.
- You adopt a proactive approach, anticipating potential issues and taking early action to mitigate.
- Demonstrating attention to detail, you ensure accuracy across all scheduling.
- Your collaborative communication style will keep all stakeholders informed in a timely manner.
- Commercially, you understand the impact of planning decisions on costs and service levels.
- Continuous Improvement mindset: you drive improvements in the planning process and stock flow, working with the wider team.
