About The Role

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end procurementand ongoing performance management of subcontractors across the organisation.The postholder will ensure subcontractor agreements are commercially sound,compliant, and aligned to delivery expectations.

Key Duties

Lead the sourcing, onboarding, and contractnegotiation of subcontractors in alignment with project delivery requirementsand company quality standards

Maintain robust coverage of core trades acrossall operating regions, ensuring effective service delivery while avoidingunnecessary duplication of supply

Oversee the performance management framework forsubcontractors, including regular audits (both desk-based and on-site), formalreview meetings, and performance improvement plans

Develop and manage supplier scorecards tomonitor KPIs such as quality, H&S compliance, responsiveness, and value formoney

Drive continuous improvement through structuredfeedback loops, collaborating with operational and compliance teams to ensureaudit findings and supplier issues are actioned effectively

Implement a rigorous vetting and re-approvalprocess to maintain high standards of capability, compliance, and documentationacross the supply chain

Optimise supply chain efficiency byrationalising underperforming or underutilised subcontractors, and matchingwork packages to subcontractors based on skillset, capacity, and geographicreach

Lead regular supply chain reviews to assessperformance, identify risks, and plan strategic interventions

Work closely with regional delivery teams toforecast subcontractor demand, balance workloads, and ensure capacity alignswith delivery pipeline

Contribute to supply chain strategy developmentand policy updates, ensuring alignment with the company's commercial,operational, and compliance objectives

Support ESG and social value targets byencouraging local subcontractor engagement and responsible procurementpractices

Maintain oversight of subcontractor insurance,accreditations, and other mandatory documentation, ensuring all records arecurrent and compliant

Monitor and report on subcontractor-relatedspend and trends to support procurement planning and budgeting processes

Manage and administer sub contractor paymentsmonthly and payment certificates working in conjunction with Finance team

Manage and report on defects and issues withsupply chain regularly and manage any contractual disputes alongsideoperational teams

Experience Required

Experience in procurement or contractmanagement, particularly with subcontractors

Knowledge of construction frameworks, CDM, andsubcontractor compliance

Strong negotiation and relationship managementskills

Able to interpret legal and commercial documents

Experience of formal contracts and sub contractagreements

QS or commercial experience within supply chainmanagement

Qualifications:

MCIPS or equivalent procurement qualification(essential)

Experience with construction procurement orsubcontractor performance management (essential)

Degree in Business, Construction Management, orrelated field (desirable)
