Supply Chain Manager Summary:
As Supply Chain Manager, you will lead and manage procurement operations, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer demand. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, optimising supplier performance, and promoting operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in enhancing responsiveness and agility across the supply chain while maintaining strong compliance and record-keeping practices.
Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Production to align supply chain operations with market and customer requirements
Monitor market trends and proactively manage supply chain risks
Lead and develop the purchasing team to promote collaboration and high performance
Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management to ensure value, quality, and reliability
Monitor material costs and ensure purchasing aligns with quoted pricing
Minimise excess material stock and coordinate with Sales to return or repurpose surplus
Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes and supplier relationships
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Maintain accurate procurement records and supply chain performance metrics
Proven experience in supply chain or procurement leadership within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and ERP systems
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
Strategic thinking with data-driven decision-making capabilities
Experience using EPICOR ERP systems and managing system-based challenges
Supply Chain Manager Qualifications:
Degree or MBA in a relevant field
Relevant supply chain or procurement certifications
