Are you a hands-on supply-chain leader who can turn planning and procurement into on-time delivery, lower costs and stronger supplier performance? Join Parker Meggitt at our Fareham aerospace site to own end-to-end supply-chain delivery for a value stream - from sourcing through to shipment. You'll lead a team of 30 and work closely with production, engineering and overseas procurement to enable growth, ramp-ups and continuous improvement.

Why join us
  • Make an impact: lead a function critical to site performance at a precision aerospace facility (320 people, £160M+ revenue).
  • Broad remit: influence procurement, planning, warehousing, trade compliance and supplier strategy.
  • Career progression: visible role with cross-site influence in a global engineering group.
  • Great benefits: competitive salary, development opportunities and a collaborative, safety-first culture.
What you'll own
  • End-to-end supply-chain delivery for your value stream: S&OP / S&OE / MPS alignment to drive OTIF vs requested and promised dates.
  • Strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and performance management to reduce cost and lead times.
  • Inventory, stores and warehouse management to optimise flow, obsolescence and working capital.
  • Trade compliance and import/export coordination (FAR/DFAR knowledge is a plus).
  • Risk identification and mitigation to protect production continuity.
  • People leadership: develop and coach a cross-functional team of planners, buyers and stores staff.
  • Continuous improvement: apply Lean/Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and improve delivery and quality.
  • ERP & analytics: use SAP or similar systems and demand-planning tools to drive decisions and reporting.
About you
  • Degree (or equivalent); Master's desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' tactical purchasing or supply-chain experience with proven delivery of cost/lead-time reductions.
  • Strong ERP/MRP experience (SAP preferred) and hands-on with demand/planning tools.
  • Skilled negotiator with supplier performance and category management experience.
  • Practical Lean/Six Sigma experience and strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Comfortable leading people, managing change and making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
Desirable
  • MCIPS or advanced procurement qualification.
  • Experience managing sourcing transitions to offshore manufacturing sites.
What we offer
  • A high-impact role supporting major customer contracts and production ramp-ups.
  • Opportunity to shape cross-site sourcing strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Competitive pay and benefits, and clear development pathways within a global engineering group.
  • Supportive, safety-focused culture and visible operational ownership.
