Overview

Supplier Quality Engineer - Location: Near Gerrards Cross, Uxbridge. Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum. Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00-17:00, Friday 8:00-12:00 (early finish). Type: Permanent, full-time. Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 1.5x overtime rate, excellent pension scheme, and free on-site parking.

We're working with a well-established engineering business at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their growing team.

This position will see you supporting both the Quality and Sourcing departments, maintaining high supplier performance standards and identifying best-in-class machining and surface treatment partners - both across the UK and internationally.

It's a varied, hands-on role with significant supplier interaction, requiring a blend of technical understanding, auditing skill and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct system and product audits across the supplier base and coordinate the resolution of non-conformance issues.
  • Maintain and update the approved supplier list, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Carry out initial assessments and evaluations of potential new suppliers.
  • Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect initiatives throughout the supply chain.
  • Participate in internal quality investigations and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Profile / Qualifications
  • Proven experience and working knowledge of AS9100 and CAA Part 21 regulations.
  • Familiarity with the AS9120 First Article Process.
  • Demonstrable auditing experience within aerospace, defence, or automotive manufacturing environments.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications for reporting and data management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
