Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive Supplier Quality Engineer to support Supplier Quality Assurance and Development activities. You will act as the "customer's eyes" at key production stages, ensuring supplier compliance with technical and quality standards. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring collaboration across departments to drive continuous improvement and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform final release inspections of goods to verify compliance with specifications.

Ensure adherence to engineering drawings and customer requirements.

Maintain thorough records of inspections, releases, and non-conformances.

Lead or assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Support supplier qualification, auditing, and development initiatives.

Collaborate internally on testing, documentation, and process improvement.

Provide informal mentoring and communicate technical issues clearly.

Deliver updates on supplier quality performance to stakeholders.

Occasional travel within the UK and Europe required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree (BSc/BEng/HND) in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience in Quality.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (14001 and 45001 desirable).

Solid background in manufacturing or supplier quality roles.

Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, 8D, RCCA, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, etc.

Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with major OEMs (e.g., BAE, Rolls-Royce, MOD) is advantageous.

Knowledge of supplier development programs and quality planning methods.
