Supplier Quality Engineer - Electronics SME

We are looking for an experiencedlooking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer with strong electronics expertise to join a leading regulated manufacturing organisation. Please note this is for an initial 12-month subcontracting role.

This is a specialist role supporting the electronics supply base, with responsibility for supplier quality investigations, electronic component changes, risk assessment and supplier performance.

• Act as the technical SME for PCBAs, ICs/semiconductors, wireless modules/SoCs, passive components and batteries
• Review and risk assess supplier Product Change Notifications (PCNs), including obsolescence, die and fabrication changes
• Lead SCARs, 8D investigations and supplier root cause analysis
• Assess electronic component risks, failure modes and reliability considerations
• Support supplier IQ/OQ/PQ validation and First Article Inspection (FAI) activities
• Conduct supplier audits and technical assessments
• Drive resolution and escalation of critical supplier quality issues

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing and/or Supplier Quality
• Strong understanding of electronic components and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
• Experience with SCAR, 8D and CAPA
• Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA QMSR / 21 CFR 820
• Strong supplier management and technical problem-solving skills
• Experience with SPC/statistics, Veeva QMS, ISO 13485 Lead Auditor or ASQ CQE/CSQE certification would be advantageous.
