Supervisor Small Works

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Small Works Supervisor to join our Maintenance team. About the Role

As Small Works Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of landscaping and maintenance crews, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the high standards expected by SAP Landscapes and our clients. You will work closely with Contracts Managers, Team Leaders, clients and crews to plan workloads, resolve issues and ensure successful delivery of works. The role will also involve meeting potential new clients and supporting the development of new landscaping opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise multiple landscaping and maintenance sites across Dublin, Kildare and surrounding areas.
• Plan daily and weekly works and coordinate crews in conjunction with Contracts Managers.
• Liaise with clients regarding programmes, schedules, site requirements and handover dates.
• Carry out site inspections and checks in advance of works.
• Monitor progress and prepare site reports and documentation.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with agreed scopes, specifications and schedules.
• Provide leadership, guidance and practical support to crews and Team Leaders.
• Act as the first point of contact for crews when issues or obstacles arise and ensure problems are resolved promptly.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance and conduct, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Maintain strong client relationships and respond professionally to concerns and feedback.
• Monitor project costs and work towards agreed financial targets.
• Review timesheets for accuracy and liaise with Payroll and Contracts Management regarding any discrepancies.
• Assist with fleet management, including monitoring vehicle maintenance and investigating vehicle issues.
• Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to across sites.
• Ensure appropriate PPE, toolbox talks, training and safe working practices are in place.
• Report and investigate incidents in conjunction with the Health & Safety Department.
• Liaise with HR regarding employee-related matters and investigations where required.
• Attend weekly/monthly management, Team Leader and Health & Safety meetings.
• Meet with existing and prospective clients and provide reports as required.
• Carry out manual work where required to support crews and demonstrate correct working practices.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to all aspects of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar management role.
• Extensive plant and landscaping knowledge.
• Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a flexible approach.
• The ability to manage multiple crews, sites and priorities simultaneously.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A professional approach to client and employee relationships.
• The ability to work independently and use initiative.
• The ability to mark out and lay out landscaping plans.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

• Valid Safe Pass - Preferred
