SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Position

Davenport Community School District is currently hiring substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year.

Qualifications & Licensure

To substitute teach in the State of Iowa you must hold a current Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute Teaching License, or Iowa Substitute Authorization License.

Pay Rates

• Base Rate - $132/full day, $66/half day
• Long Term Rate (20+ consecutive days for same classroom) - $177/full day, $88.50/half day
• Retired Teacher rate - $177/full day, $88.50/half day

Responsibilities

Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
