We are seeking a dedicated Substance Misuse Clinical Lead Prescriber to join our team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre, based in Gatwick, Surrey. This role offers the chance to deliver top-quality healthcare to our patients, emphasizing both efficiency and excellence.

Hours

Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 16:30. Some flexibility with working hours considered.

Salary

This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to £55,996, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Substance Misuse Clinical Lead Prescriber, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and management to registered nurses and care teams
  • Delivering a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions
  • Monitoring therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects
  • Supporting group work and clinical interventions

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Adult Nurse)
  • Prescribing qualification in SMS
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
  • Experience working with opiate-dependent patients
  • Strong clinical knowledge of substance misuse
