Position: Student Engagement Teacher

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 pending experience + Super (pro rata)

We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Student Engagement Teacher with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers.

Location: Townsville region, with Townsville Catholic Education

About the role: The School Engagement teacher plays a vital role in fostering positive student engagement, pastoral care and promoting social emotional development for students with a focus on early intervention, building strong relationships with students and families and implementing evidence-based practices to support all students to engage positively.

Context: Guided by Catholic values, you'll embrace the school's mission, prioritise student safety and wellbeing, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment where every learner feels they belong.

Responsibilities
  • Foster positive student engagement and provide pastoral care to support social-emotional development.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to support all students to engage positively, with an emphasis on early intervention.
  • Build strong relationships with students and families and collaborate with colleagues and the parent community.
  • Support diverse learners and adapt teaching practices to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Promote and uphold student safety, wellbeing, and Catholic values within the school community.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualified teacher with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or eligibility for registration.
  • Commitment to contemporary teaching practices and ability to adapt to a diverse range of learners.
  • Evidence of ability to work in partnership with families and the wider school community.
