We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our Student Engagement team, supporting key aspects of our ambitious strategic plans, which aim to maintain an environment that promotes positive outcomes and opportunities for our diverse student body.
The Student Engagement team is part of the Student Success Directorate, the hub for a range of student support services within the University. The team acts as a bridge between key institutional objectives and initiatives aimed at fostering positive outcomes for students.
Role summaryThe Student Engagement Officer will work closely with academic faculties and professional services teams to develop and promote initiatives that identify students who may face barriers to success and provide solutions that support positive outcomes during their studies. This may include the utilisation of learner analytics, one-on-one support, and themed events and activities.
A relevant degree or relevant student support experience within higher education. Experience in providing academic and personal guidance to higher education students, including one-on-one or small group interactions, to produce positive outcomes.
Experience in monitoring and managing a caseload of students, identifying those at risk of underachieving, and intervening proactively to support academic success.
