Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Cork with very occasional travel to projects as required, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engineering Management Division as a Structural Engineer, supporting the delivery of our projects that cover a wide variety of sectors.

You will provide services across a range of projects and coordinate the structural inputs for their successful delivery ensuring that the Dornan process vision, mission and values are fulfilled. To interface with the client's representatives and the supply chain. They would work effectively with the project manager and project teams to review and manage project from inception to handover.

Your day will include:

• Coordinate with Project Managers and design teams from design through construction to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out structural design and design checks for secondary steelwork, support systems, fixings, and service hangers.
• Assess the impact of secondary steel loads on the primary structure and confirm structural suitability.
• Review construction drawings and provide technical support to ensure designs align with the construction programme.
• Attend site meetings, engineering reviews, and coordination meetings to support project delivery and resolve design issues.
• Ensure design QA procedures, formal design approvals, reporting, and project close-out activities are completed on time.

About You

• Degree qualified in Structural Engineering or equivalent essential
• Minimum 3 years of design experience essential
• Experience working in structural steelwork, prefabrication, modularisation, or services essential
