EPA is multi-disciplinary studio collective of Architectural Designers, Structural and Civil engineers with a growing portfolio of residential and commercial projects across the South East and wider areas. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Structural Engineer or Senior Structural Engineer to join our team.

This is a role for a motivated individual with at least 4 years' post-graduation UK experience, capable of working on a range of residential and commercial schemes involving timber, steel, masonry, and concrete. You will be collaborating closely with our architects, managing direct client and consultant relationships, and delivering well-considered, buildable structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structural design and detailing across timber, steel, masonry, and concrete.
  • Preparation of calculations, technical drawings, and reports.
  • Liaison with clients, architects, contractors, and external consultants.
  • Coordination of projects from initial concept through technical design to completion.
  • Site inspections and resolving construction queries.
  • Ensuring quality and consistency across all technical outputs.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • At least 4 years' relevant UK-based post-graduate experience.
  • Chartered (IStructE or ICE) preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience on residential and commercial projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla / CADS or equivalent structural analysis software.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Based locally to our offices in Rayne, Braintree
