Job Summary:

This role, reporting to the National Sales Manager, is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic sales team as they continue to grow their Multi-brand growth strategy.

As a Sales Development Manager, your focus will be in growing & developing a dealer landscape, within a set geographical region and to support your Dealer Partners to sell the full range of motor finance products associated with Volkswagen Financial Services Ireland (VWFSIE).

You will act as a trusted advisor through building long lasting relationships withindependent and franchise car and LCV dealer partners. You will provide support with value-add activities like regulatory requirements/changes, training, market data and forecourt stock funding.

Each dealer is on a different journey and has differing objectives and a key part of this role is to provide support and expertise as they strive to reach their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure commercial targets & KPI are achieved monthly, quarterly and annually are achieved, setting action plans and measurable objectives to maximise sales and volume aspirations.
  • Create, grow & develop a dealer landscape within your set geographical region, focusing on acquiring franchise and independent (car & LCV) Dealer Partners.
  • Build a range of new dealer pipeline opportunities using your market knowledge & relationships alongside your communication and influencing skills to ensure acquisition targets are achieved.
  • Ensure your region is managed with a 'Dealer Partner First' philosophy and your monthly Dealer contact strategy is well planned, achieved and that each meeting offers a value-led purpose.
  • Deliver effective meetings that include a clear agenda and documented actions to engage relevant stakeholders to implement what has been agreed.
  • Develop an understanding of your Dealer Partners key drivers e.g. why they do what they do, to support building long term relationships.
  • Identify, through your contact strategy, additional sales opportunities (wholesale funding, service plans, extended warranty, gap insurance etc.), in order to support wider commercial objectives.
  • Provide coaching to your Dealer Partners through regular finance reviews, along with training and development in collaboration with our Network Training department.
  • Analyse key Management Information to work closely with your Dealer Partners to recognise any trends early and offer solutions, share best practice and provide regular detailed updates on performance.
  • Create & develop a funding strategy for your region, focusing on new opportunities to provide Dealers with our forecourt funding plans that will help them with their objectives.
  • Identify and manage risk, taking the appropriate steps to mitigate including the escalation of any concerns to the appropriate team regarding Dealer Partner processes and behaviors that may lead to increased risk.
  • Work with internal functions such as Complaints, Compliance, Credit, Marketing, as required.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of key regulatory obligations applicable to the motor finance industry in Ireland.
  • Plan, update and maintain accurate records and actions through our CRM, Salesforce.
Experience and Requirements
  • This role is designated as a CF4 under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity Regime, as defined in the Central Bank Reform Act 2010. The successful candidate must meet the standards of competence, integrity, and financial soundness required by the CBI and will be subject to ongoing due diligence and compliance assessments.
  • This is an MCC impacted role and the minimum competency required is APA/CIP. APA or CIP qualification a distinct advantage, however not a requirement, but at minimum the successful candidate must be prepared to undertake and pass the APA exams upon appointment and maintain up to date CPD to be maintained Proven experience of working in a sales and targets environment within the Motor Industry.
  • Proven experience in Account Management of a geographic territory in afield-based role.
  • Excellent and proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of adding value within a sales process.
  • Excellent IT skills specifically using MS suite of products, a CRM system similar to Salesforce.

Reporting to the Senior Data Manager in the Transformation Function, the Senior Data Analyst (Commercial) plays a critical role in supporting the Commercial Leadership Team through the development and ownership of a portfolio of strategic operational analytics. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day analysis of a wide range of end-to-end management information and performance reporting from multiple data sources. They will partner closely with commercial stakeholders to identify business opportunities, utilise all available data, and translate challenges into commercial value. This role requires a strong blend of analysis experience, business acumen, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and own a holistic portfolio of strategic and tactical analytics to support commercial objectives and business priorities.
  • Proactively drive the implementation and use of commercial analytics (customer analytics, next best offer, lead funnel/customer life cycle, trend visualisation, etc.).
  • Identify key business drivers and provide analysis to support commercial decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • Understand data flows and identify the right data to translate into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions and reduce manual processes.
  • Confidently engage with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, define analytical requirements, and present findings and solutions.
  • Act as a trusted analytical partner to the Commercial Leadership Team and wider business stakeholders.

Experience and Requirements
  • Qualifications:
    • Educated to degree level in Data Analytics or similar area of expertise
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years data analytics, commercial analytics or business intelligence expertise
    • Portfolio of commercial analysis (product/customer/market)
    • Extensive experience in senior stakeholder management, communication, and presentation
    • Experience in a financial services environment beneficial
  • Professional/ technical knowledge:
    • Advanced knowledge of PowerBI (incl DAX and PowerQuery) required
    • Intermediate knowledge of SQL (data extraction, ad hoc analysis) required
    • Experience with ETL tools (Oracle, SAP) required
    • SAP Data Services and SAP Business Objects an advantage
