Job Description

Salary: £43,000 per annum (pro-rata)

Work schedule: Three-day week (0.6 FTE), twelve-month fixed-term contract (with possibility to extend subject to funding)

The role will be based in our central London office, with some flexibility for remote work.

About the Role

The Edinburgh TV Festival, a prestigious media event in the UK, and its umbrella charity, The TV Foundation, are entering an exciting phase of strategic development as they approach their 50th anniversary and beyond.

We are seeking a highly organized, resourceful, and proactive Strategic Projects Lead to work closely with the CEO on projects supporting both the Festival and Foundation's five-year strategic plan. This role will be central to shaping the Festival's future, supporting operational, communication, and stakeholder engagement efforts.

Some regular presence in our London offices is required, subject to the CEO's schedule. We aim to offer flexible hours and remote working options where possible.

This is a unique opportunity to influence one of the UK's most influential screen industry events. The Edinburgh TV Festival is owned by the not-for-profit charity The TV Foundation, which promotes access and inclusion in media. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate workstreams across venues, logistics, industry engagement, and communications
  • Research, compile reports, conduct sector analysis, and benchmarking
  • Support stakeholder engagement with broadcasters, sponsors, and public bodies
  • Create project plans based on interdepartmental briefs
  • Monitor milestones, manage timelines, and keep projects on schedule and aligned with messaging
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure alignment with ongoing and charitable priorities
  • Provide direct support to the CEO on strategic initiatives
Person Specification
  • 5+ years' experience in events, media, or cultural organizations (or transferable skills)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize, brief, and present effectively
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive information
  • Confident in representing the organization online and in person
  • Strong project coordination skills, including scheduling, research, and follow-up
  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation
  • Knowledge of the TV industry and current trends
  • Familiarity with public funding and working with government entities
