The Role: We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Strategic Marketing Director to join our dynamic External Relations team. This newly created and pivotal role will lead the development and delivery of innovative marketing strategies that enhance pupil recruitment, elevate our brand, and support income-generating activities across our commercial and partnership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing & Planning: Develop and implement integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies that engage priority audiences and reinforce Charterhouse's reputation as a selective and academically strong school.
  • Content Creation: Lead the creation of compelling, emotionally resonant content that showcases our values and community, including testimonials, stories, and user-generated content.
  • Campaign Management: Execute high-impact marketing campaigns across digital, print, and in-person channels, ensuring alignment with school goals and measuring effectiveness through clear KPIs.
  • User Experience: Enhance the admissions process and overall user engagement by utilising data-driven insights to create seamless communication and memorable experiences for prospective families.
  • Insight & Evaluation: Monitor campaign performance and apply analytics to refine strategies, improve ROI, and ensure Charterhouse remains a leader in school marketing innovation.

Person Specification:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a strategic marketing role, with a proven track record of developing integrated campaigns and delivering results through performance analysis. Experience in premium service sectors or global-facing brands is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong digital marketing capabilities, excellent project management skills, and the ability to create powerful, emotionally engaging content across various platforms.
  • Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in a related field is preferred, though professional experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
