Overview of role:
As a UPMC HR Business Partner you will undertake a broad range of HR-related responsibilities, working closely with our wider HR Business Partnering Team and reporting to our Head of Business Partnering. The HR Business Partner will conduct both administrative and strategic responsibilities. As a UPMC HR Business Partner you will be part of a highly motivated and dynamic Ireland HR team of talented professionals. As a HR Business Partner, you will be accountable for providing best in class HR supporting onboarding, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role is based on site in UPMC Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with businessleaders and colleagues to create an environment of trust, dignity, andrespect, where values and behaviours are aligned to UPMC values andbehaviours.
- Be a first point ofcontact for all HR related queries, providing superior customer service toall colleagues in line with employment law legislation and internalpolicies.
- Work closely withmanagers to ensure probationary periods are managed effectively.
Administer benefitsincluding time and attendance, benefits -pension ect - Liaise with payrollmonthly on coordinating information for payroll notifications ensuring thepayroll department is informed of any relevant changes throughout theemployee life cycle.
- Case management ofinternal employee relations matters where they arise.
- Monitor absenteeism inconjunction with department managers ensure adherence to the absencemanagement procedure and case management of the long-term absenceprocedure.
- Manage occupationalhealth reviews and referrals in line with company procedure.
- Liaise with management onensuring the performance management review cycle is implemented.
- Ensure employee data isupdated and maintained in line with GDPR requirements and respond torequests made under same
- Ensure the delivery of aneffective, efficient, and professional HR service
- Ensure HR processes areapplied and adhered to consistently and fairly.
- Maintain an openness tofeedback on your own performance and a commitment to implementing agreedperformance/behavioural changes.

- Perform any other dutiesthat are assigned to you by your manager and for which you have beenprovided with reasonable knowledge and training in respect of suchresponsibilities.
- Working with theadministrators, ensuring HR systems are updated and maintained.
- Assist managers to embedour internal policies and procedures consistently.
- Mediation andfacilitation of issue resolution
Case management oflong-term absence process - Assist with preparationsof audits from external bodies.
- Occasion Travel requiredbetween working hours across UPMC sites.

- 2+ years previous relevant experience at abusiness partner level
- Degree or 3rd level qualification(Business, Human Resources)
- CIPD Qualification, desirable
- Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-pacedenvironment
- Strong IT skills - MS Excel and MS Wordand MS PowerPoint
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Integrity - confidentiality is paramount
