Job Description

• Provide strategic financial advice and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage financial planning, forecasting, and budgetary processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support key decision-making.
• Collaborate with department heads to optimise the allocation of financial resources.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect organisational interests.
• Support the delivery of cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Strategic Finance Business Partner should have:

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIPFA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
• Experience working within a Local Authority or a comparable environment.
• Strong financial modelling, analysis, and reporting skills.
• Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and strategic thinking.
