Stores Assistant - FLT

We are currently looking for a Stores Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team at our client's head office in Woore. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a structured warehouse environment.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting and will be a team player who is organised, self-motivated and methodical. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be comfortable with physically demanding tasks and have a good understanding of health & safety in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities of this Stores Assistant - FLT role:

  • Assisting with the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
  • Picking and packing orders accurately
  • Using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices
  • Maintaining stock accuracy and organised storage areas
  • Supporting the wider warehouse team to ensure efficient operations
  • Following all health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience required for this Stores Assistant - FLT role:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or distribution environment
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Awareness of warehouse health & safety procedures
  • Willingness to undertake physically demanding work
  • Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licences would be desirable
  • Experience using WMS systems and handheld scanners
  • Full UK driving license due to location
Details of this Stores Assistant - FLT role:
  • 30 days holiday (including statutory) rising to 34 days after one year's service
  • Annual business performance bonus (non-contractual)
