Job Description
Overview

IKEA's Planning & Order Point in Dundee is looking for a Store Manager to take full command of the unit - an experienced, commercially driven leader who can inspire a high performing team, elevate results and steer the entire operation with clarity, authenticity and accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the store works ethically and in compliance with internal regulations and external laws relating to risk, safety, security, environment, property, facilities and safety.
  • Monitor and analyse staff costs, maintain appropriate staffing levels, meet cost budgets and continuously evaluate and improve staffing efficiency.
  • Promote a positive customer experience by building trust and emotional connections between customers and the IKEA brand.
  • Collaborate with the main store to keep the Planning & Order Point locally relevant, using appropriate range presentation and communication.
  • Analyse sales performance and create action plans to improve results.
  • Support co workers in developing skills and knowledge, recognise contributions, and identify succession plans.
Qualifications
  • At least five years of proven experience leading teams, driving sales goals and managing budgets.
  • Customer first mindset with a focus on inspiring the team to put the customer experience in focus.
  • Business mindful, collaborative and effective in building trust and communicating clearly with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to combine efficiency, inspiration and profitability while working both strategically and operationally.
  • Experience guiding targeted plans and budget allocations in environments with changing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of market intelligence data and insights to meet organisational goals and objectives.
Compensation & Start Date
  • Start Date of employment: 1st September 2026.
  • Starting salary: £41,313 per annum, based on skills and experience.
  • Working hours: 39 hours per week including evenings and alternate weekends.
