Infrastructure Backup Specialist (Veeam) - Detavast - Groningen - Medior/Senior - Hybrid (1-2 days on-site)

Our client is looking for a driven and hands-on Infrastructure Backup Specialist. In this role, you will manage and optimise enterprise-grade Veeam environments while contributing to automation and scalability across the backup infrastructure. Required Experience:

• Proven experience managing Veeam Backup & Replication (v12) in enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2022
• Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Experience in Infrastructure and Connectivity/Hosting (IaaS)
• Experience automating with tools like Ansible and scripting languages
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Ansible AWX / Ansible Automation Platform
• Experience with CI/CD tooling like GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions
• Automation in VMware, OCP-V, Windows, and Linux environments
• PowerShell and Python scripting
• Familiarity with APIs and cloud technologies
• Experience working in Agile environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimise the Veeam backup infrastructure
• Automate recurring tasks to improve operational efficiency
• Proactively identify and resolve technical issues and bottlenecks
• Contribute to innovation and strategic improvement of backup services
• Participate in on-call rotation after proper onboarding
