As a Stock Controller at The Bread Factory, your primary role will be to ensure that all stock held within the company is properly organised, logged, and monitored. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, minimising stock losses, and addressing any discrepancies, ensuring that stock levels are always aligned with the company's needs and customer requirements.
Contracted hours: 40 hours - Full Time
Working Hours: 7am-3pm
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (sometimes flexibility might be required during the weekend during peak time, as we are building our new site)
Location: Milton Keynes
Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:
- Oversee daily stock control, maintaining accurate records, minimising waste, and meeting production and customer demand.
- Manage daily ordering for all production units, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with production forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse stock levels and trends, producing actionable reports to support operational decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Goods In, and Purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies and improve stock processes.
- Lead continuous improvement in stock systems, forecasting accuracy, and overall inventory efficiency.

- Experienced in stock control or inventory management within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organised with effective time management and multitasking skills.
- Strong communicator, able to collaborate confidently across departments.
- Proactive, results-focused, and driven to achieve KPIs and process improvements.
