Step Engineer

Step Engineer vacancy for our Zürich based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Architect, develop, and extend an automated functional testing platform built on STEP by Exense.
• Manage and evolve the company's load and performance testing platforms.
• Collaborate closely with application teams, DevOps, and SRE to embed testing and monitoring best practices throughout the SDLC.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid practical knowledge of STEP by Exense as a user and administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience with synthetic monitoring tools and frameworks (eg Playwright, or Selenium).
• Deep expertise in load and performance testing tools and methodologies (eg k6, or JMeter).
• Experience automating tests and integrating monitoring/test results into CI/CD pipelines
• (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Language skills: English fluent

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
