Statutory Services Consultant (Public Sector)

Interquest have a great Interim opportunity/Outside IR35 for a Local Government consultant that has working experience within Statutory Services. I'm looking for particular experience within Operational Delivery and Cost Recovery.

The council is looking to increase the amount they generate through statutory fees and charges and increasing the rate of effective revenue collection.

Key activities that they will be required to undertake will be:-

• Looking at the processes for council tax collection and proposing ways to enhance the collection rate and improve debt management.
• Suggesting ways that the council can increase the cost recovery for deliver of planning and building control services.
• Providing a critical friend challenge to a number of traded services reviews already undertaken by the council internally.

We are looking for someone with a background in operational service delivery and an understanding for the cost recovery options for statutory services, revenue collection and creativity in terms of identification of commercial opportunities.
