• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

• Identifying the patient's needs upon admission by applying evaluation techniques and skills.
  
• Thorough and precise recording of nursing admission evaluations.
  
• Continue to evaluate the patient's health.
  
• Indicate in detail the patient's issues for which nursing care will be given.
  
• Using best practices and patient needs as a guide, develop and record a treatment plan.
  
• Whether the care plan is computerized or written, it should be updated.
  
• Deliver care in a timely, accurate, and safe manner with the least amount of monitoring.
  
• Ensure that all patients, guests, and employees are in a safe environment.
  
• When necessary, speak up for the patients while maintaining their privacy and dignity.
  
• Operate effectively in a crisis.
  
• Adjust to workloads that change.
  
• Recognize and abide by the laws, particularly those established by the NMBI.
  
• Care plans should be properly reviewed and updated.
  

• Registered with the NMBI's general division
  
• Proof of individual professional growth
  
• Continuous skill development that is pertinent to the care needed for the patient caseload
  
• Possess at least one year of experience working in an emergency department and three years of recent, relevant post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in an acute hospital setting.
