Our 31 bedded Respiratory ward are looking for Nurses to join its supportive, encouraging and friendly 'Respiratory Family' that is developing with the changing needs of patients with respiratory conditions, on a permanent full-time basis at Broomfield Hospital.
You will report primarily to the Senior Sister, Junior Sisters and work closely with the Health Care Assistants to promote, develop and maintain a culture within the Ward/Department in collaboration with the Charge Nurse which challenges and questions practice and promotes the quality of thinking amongst practitioners.
The role includes acting as a Practice Supervisor/Assessor ensuring that staff and students receive effective and documented induction, coaching, development and support.
This is a developing service within respiratory and there will be opportunity to develop your respiratory knowledge and acute medical skills, within this service there will also be the opportunity for career progression.

Main duties of the job- To provide a high standard of individualised care to patients, whilst maintaining at all times their privacy and dignity.
- To assess care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
- To contribute to supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
- To support the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness in their own clinical area.
- To ensure training and competencies are kept up to date in line with the trust policies.
- Maintain an active Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.

Person Specification Qualifications- NMC Registered
- SSSA (Standards for Students Supervision Assessment)
- Experience and knowledge of an acute care setting
- Respiratory experience
- NHS experience
