Job Description

Staff Nurse - Pre Assessment Leicester Hospital Permanent Part Time 15 hours per week. Up to £36,250 pro rata, dependent on experience.

About us

Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was founded in 1969 and is one of the leading private healthcare providers in Leicestershire. The hospital has 28 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms. Since 2015 we have invested in a static MRI unit, a new digital X-ray room and digital mammography. We are a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services, with a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester supporting a close working relationship and the Nuffield recovery plus programme. The hospital has been rated a Good hospital by the CQC across the five key lines of enquiry.

Responsibilities

As a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you will be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service. You will:

  • Be the first point of contact and work with leading professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery
  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care
  • Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family
  • Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care
  • Build experience across new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key
Qualifications
  • Registered with the appropriate governing body, including NMC where applicable
  • Post-registration experience with a passion for exceptional patient care
Experience
  • Post-registration experience; a team player with a commitment to high-quality patient care
