Job Description

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Sevenoaks Medical Centre as a Staff Nurse.

Our Sevenoaks Medical Centre team consists of Nurses, Care Support Workers, Radiographers, Physical Therapists and administrators to provide outpatient and diagnostic services to the local community, across to a full range of clinical specialties including Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Urology, Gynaecology, Gastroenterology and more.

As a staff nurse at Sevenoaks Medical Centre you will be responsible for providing consistently high standards of care and support to our patients carrying out procedures including wound care and minor operations.

You will be a strong and empathetic Registered Nurse who has the ability to build a rapport with your patients in a short period of time, lead and implement change and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Role Responsibilities
  • Demonstrating outstanding clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team led by a supportive senior nursing team
  • Plan, implement and deliver a holistic patient centred care to a group of patients
  • Maintaining accurate patient records utilising the most up to date evidenced based care and guidelines
  • Working to develop a strong, effective team by developing the vision and strategy of "health care at its best"
  • Participate in the quarterly and annual quality and governance reports
Person Specification
  • Be a Registered Nurse (RN RGN).
  • Post-registration clinical experience within an Outpatient Department (desirable)
  • To be patient focused, with a desire and proven ability to deliver healthcare at its best.
  • Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application along with evidence of continuous professional development.
  • To be confident in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues and patients.
  • Mentorship training and qualification (desirable)
  • Proven ability to diffuse and solve challenging incidents (desirable)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current nursing and clinical developments (desirable)
