Job Description

We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse Intensive Care Unitfor our client hospital in Dublin, Ireland .
- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centred nursing care in line with individual care plans and medical directives.
- Conduct patient assessments, including nursing history, diagnosis, and ongoing evaluation of care needs and outcomes.
- Monitor, record, and report patient conditions, identifying changes and adjusting interventions as required.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following physician orders and hospital policies.
- Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, supporting patients in daily care activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all nursing care and patient interactions.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, aseptic techniques, and hospital safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, communicating updates and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Support clinical quality, audit, and risk management processes while adhering to professional standards (NMBI guidelines).
- Contribute to education and leadership by mentoring staff, participating in training, and promoting patient and family education
- NMBI Registered General Nurse licence
- Minimum 1 year Critical Care experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Self-motivated with an innovative and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
- Understanding of change management principles
- Good planning, organisational, and time management skills
- Flexible to work rotations, night duty, and on-call schedules
- Recent and relevant experience in a specialised area within an acute hospital setting
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments in the specialised field
- Awareness of national healthcare strategies relevant to nursing care
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong focus on quality patient care
- Ability to treat patients, families, and colleagues with empathy, dignity, and respect
