Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated staff nurses to work within the Early Years Children and Families Team in North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. Youmust be a 1 st level Registered Nurse and possess a degree in a related field ie Nursing, Health Studies or with evidence of further professional development in these areas.
What you will do:
You will support the identified School Nurse to explore opportunities to implement models of health intervention/promotion to group/individuals within the home and school settings. This will involve the use of local public health intelligence and locality profiling tools for early years and school age children and young people to identify health needs .
You will support the seamless delivery of the childhood vaccination programme for pre 5 children in (to all) GP practices within North Ayrshire.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Excellent communication skills, a passion for improving outcomes for children, ability to be flexible, able to work on own initiative and within a large team (to support the wellbeing of our children) are all essential qualities.
Experience working with children and families in a clinic and community setting is desirable. Full induction and mentorship will be provided to the successful candidate.

31.57 per week.
