An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurses in our Emergency Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Main duties of the job

As a Staff Nurse working in the Emergency Department you will be a valued member of the team, providing high quality care to patients, in a professional, compassionate and competent manner. You will be able to contribute ideas and support clinical initiatives in order to provide evidence based patient care.

The department is actively committed to looking at ways to improve the patient experience, ensuring we create an environment where patients feel safe, cared for and confident in treatment they receive and strive to be the best provider in our class.

Person Specification Knowledge & Experience Qualifications & Training
  • RGN with current registration
  • Up to date knowledge of professional issues
Personal Attributes & Skills
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with multi-disciplinary team/patient/relatives
  • Demonstrate a compassionate manner with an understanding disposition
  • Be interested and committed to caring for people from any type of cultural background or illness
  • Able to accommodate the demands of the post with flexible working as required and good attendance
  • Precise and methodical in working practice and able to work under own initiative
