At KAI GmbH, we have a team working on data engineering applications for automated data analysis. The applications help to identify problems in the post-silicon verification of semiconductors faster. In your role, you will work closely together with our data engineering experts to develop pipelines to load, transform and serve large amounts of data to client-facing applications as well as:
  • Discuss and evaluate upstream platform architecture
  • Implement data processing pipelines
  • Integrate software tools with workflows of Component Verification engineers
  • Support in the development of scripts for loading/transforming data
  • Investigate of possible frameworks
  • Have direct interactions with our in-house customers
  • Document source codes and processes


You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • Completed a Master or PhD degree covering the area of Technical Informatics/Computer Engineering/Electronic Engineering with a strong ambition for highly performant software systems.
  • Experience with Python, object-oriented programming, design patterns
  • Experience with MATLAB (is a plus)
  • Experience with Linux and familiarity with the command line
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows is a plus
  • Knowledge of engineering best-practices such as code style guides
  • Familiarity with using APIs (e.g. REST), frameworks and libraries
  • A structured and precise working style
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, at least employment group G (). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.

The KAI Competence Center for Automotive and Industrial Electronics was founded in 2006, is a 100% subsidiary of Infineon, and is located in the Villach Technology Park. The focus of our research is the reliability of power semiconductors in automotive and industrial applications.
