General Summary

We are looking for a hands on Senior Software Engineer for our Qualcomm's Enterprise AI Platform to build and scale AI powered applications and user experiences with a focus on knowledge retrieval engineering, agentic pipeline development, agent runtime management and agent powered applications.

This is a fast paced, execution focused role involving rapid delivery of features, continuous iteration on pipelines, building new agentic solutions for business processes and integration of agentic capabilities into existing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build end to end AI powered applications, including backend services and user facing interfaces
• Work on enterprise scale AI powered search and retrieval systems supporting various downstream applications and agents
• Develop and integrate APIs/services/MCP/agent tools to expose ML/AI capabilities
• Develop and integrate LLM/AI capabilities into enterprise applications, delivering intuitive user experiences and rapidly iterating UI/UX based on real world usage and feedback
• Debug and resolve issues across application layers, data pipelines, and LLM behavior (e.g., grounding, hallucinations)
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver scalable, production grade systems
• Contribute reusable components and patterns for AI application and UI development

Must Have Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python and modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript, or similar)
• Experience building full stack applications (UI + backend services + APIs)
• Proven ability to build clean, intuitive, and performant user interfaces
• Hands on experience developing or integrating LLM based / AI powered applications
• Familiarity with agentic workflows or orchestration frameworks
• Ability to take high level direction and independently drive end to end implementation
• Strong understanding of API design, state management, and UI/backend integration
• Experience debugging across both traditional systems and AI/LLM driven behavior

Nice to Have

• Tracing/observability tools for LLM systems
• Experience with Elasticsearch / vector search
• Docker / Kubernetes exposure
• Multi agent systems and evaluation frameworks

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
